Think of three things that you are grateful for:

  1. A person who has done something selflessly for you.
  2. An experience that has enabled you to grow internally, even if the experience may have been difficult at the time.
  3. A place that gave you a positive and uplifting experience and thus memories.

Exercise:

Do this exercise first thing in the morning.

  1. List three things you are grateful for that morning.
  2. Remember it doesn’t have to be ‘good’ experiences; sometimes the things that appear ‘bad’ teach us the most meaningful lessons too.
  3. When you wake up in the morning, think of three things that you are looking forward to during the day ahead and why you are looking forward to them.
