To release and recover does not mean that we do not defend ourselves. In legal arguments that are serious and affect our standing or livelihood, we should protect ourselves. But in many situations, we do not have to. People who do not like us or people who like us do not care for an explanation. It is a waste of energy explaining ourselves; at the end of the day, our peace is more important than being right.
